25 Principles of Success
As we continue to begin a New Year, I thought I would give you a copy of some information that recently came across my desk. I do not know the original source of it, otherwise I would be more than happy to site it. But, I thought you would enjoy having a copy of this to give you some guidance for this coming year.
- Integrity in everything.
- Have specific pre-determined goals.
- Have a plan to attain these goals - with deadlines.
- Work hard - always.
- Be enthusiastic in your work, for work is merely a state of mind.
- Give more than you take.
- Always say "Thank You" and mean it.
- Treat customers with respect and show appreciation.
- Do not assume anything.
- Set a high level of standards for yourself - it is contagious.
- Lead by example, not words.
- Treat employees with respect and show appreciation.
- Do not make excuses - give results.
- If you are wrong, admit it.
- Really, REALLY care about people.
- Look neat and professional at all times.
- Do not take short cuts.
- Look for the correct way, not the easy way.
- Have a thirst for knowledge and new ideas.
- Always try to "better your best."
- Never, NEVER give up - have guts and hang tough.
- There is always a better way to do a better job..find it.

- Do not let money, greed or power control you.
- Stop sometimes to "smell the roses."
Act as though it were impossible to fail!
I especially like the way this article ended with, "Act as though it were impossible to fail!" I remember hearing Zig Ziglar years ago say, "What would you attempt to do in life if you knew it were impossible for you to fail?" Although I have failed many times in attempting to do great things, I can honestly say that view of life has helped me to attempt more things than I would have done otherwise. I hope the same will be true for you as you enjoy putting these twenty-five principles of success into practice in your life this coming year.
